Getting Started
This guide walks you through the everyday actions you will take in BBC Clerk: keeping your profile current, making and responding to requests, and logging time in the ledger.
Helpful Tips
Keep your family profile updated.
Update your request if details change.
Try to prioritize offers from families that have not been active yet this month, or who have lower balances.
After a request is assigned, coordinate outside the site as necessary.
Log ledger entries soon after requests are completed to keep the ledger accurate.
Dashboard
The dashboard shows the latest notices, activities, updates, and quick links.
Check it when you sign in for reminders or time-sensitive messages.
Families: Consolidated member info
Profiles help families coordinate and get to know each other.
See other families
Browse other families in the co-op.
Easily see important emergency contact and child allergy information.

Complete Your Profile
Your profile helps other families coordinate with you.
Add accurate contact details, emergency contacts, child information, and any important notes.
Include a photo of your family for others to see on the families page.
Set your email notification preferences.

Requests: Ask for Help
Requests are the way to ask for support.
Create a request
Select the appropriate type of request for your need: Babysit, Drive, or Favor,
Keep request descriptions short and specific for easier scanning.
Set the date (required) and start/end time (optional) for your request, checking the appropriate boxes if they are flexible.
Complete the rest of the fields for your selected request type.
Get offers to help
Members will see your request and can offer to help.
You can see offers to help below the request, with details on whether that family has used this month and their current balance.
Select a specific offer to assign it to your request.
Coordinate with your assigned helper outside this site as required.

Browse open requests use the request details to understand the need and offer support.
Review the date, time, and location before responding.
Leave an optional message with how you can help.
Coordinate directly with the requester if your offer is accepted.

Ledger: Track Time
The ledger records hours exchanged between members.
View all entries
Review, filter, export any and all entries.
See current and prior month's member balances.
View the activity status for all members in the current month.

Add a new entry
After a request is completed, record who was helped, the date and the number of hours to transfer.
Families may choose to Ad Hoc transfer hours to another family without going through the request→offer→assign→complete process.
Also there is a separate process for Admins to transfer hours for co-op maintenance (inactivity deduction, chair bonus).
